Nice to meet you
We're 6th Lichfield Scout Group

We’re 6th Lichfield Scout Group based in the Leomansley ward on the western side of the city.

Scouting is about helping our young people to get active, get thinking and get stuck into all sorts of new challenges and adventures. Our young people get to try new things, master new skills, make new friends and have fun. We call it our skills for life programme.

Our amazing leaders deliver a weekly programme which ensures that every young person, regardless of age, gender, religion, background or ability, will have the chance to experience a wide range of fun activities. From camping, climbing trees and canoeing through to learning to cook, reading a map and helping the local community. Life skills they can use in the real world.

6th Lichfield is here to help your young person through their Scouting journey, no matter where they start. We make being part of Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs or Scouts fun for all young people from age 4-14. Best of all they’ll be having so much fun they won’t even realise they’re learning all these valuable skills.

Our section leaders are supported by assistant leaders and young leaders. They are backed up by a small army of parent helpers who support meetings, camps and other events. Behind the scenes is our management team, another team of dedicated parents who manage our own purpose built headquarters and ensure the group runs smoothly, taking care of finances and health and safety.

Every week we help our young people to have fun and go on adventures. To do this we need you. So whatever skills you’ve got and however much time you have, there’s something you can do that will help our young people get the most out of their time with us. Whether it’s making tea, updating our website, gardening, painting the walls or cooking a hundred sausages for breakfast on camp, it all helps.

We prepare young people at 6th Lichfield with skills for life. Being part of our group means you and your young person will have the opportunity to be part of a global youth organisation that puts fun, adventure and life skills at the heart of everything we do.
